Click Start next to Create DriveScrubber boot disk.

What it does:

The Create DriveScrubber boot disk wizard creates a bootable disk that you can then use to completely erase all contents – files, applications, operating system, etc. – of a drive.

A bootable disk is required to wipe a system drive, but any type of drive can also be wiped with the boot disk.

letter.gif Note: If you have a DriveScrubber or System Mechanic Professional installation CD, you can use that CD as a boot disk and you do not have to create one here. Simply put the installation CD in the CD drive and start/restart your computer.

Instructions:

To complete this wizard, you will need to have either a blank CD or a blank floppy diskette. (Help me choose.) The bootable disk you create here will then be used to open the DriveScrubber DOS-based application that wipes selected drives.

The wizard has three screens to guide you through the wiping process.

Screen 1: Select Disk Type

Screen 2: Select Drive for Bootable Disk

Screen 3: Create Bootable Disk
