Before the installation:

Before installing System Mechanic, it’s essential to verify that the other computer meets the following minimum system requirements:

• Operating System: The PC must be running Windows® 11, 10, 8.1, 8, or 7.
• RAM: Ensure there is at least 512 MB RAM (optimal: 2 GB).
• Hard Drive Space: You’ll need approximately 30 MB of free hard drive space.
• Internet Explorer: Internet Explorer 9 or later is required (Internet Explorer 11 is recommended).
• Internet Connection: An active internet connection is necessary for license activation.
• User Account: Make sure you have a Windows “Administrator” User Account.
• Once you’ve confirmed these requirements, you’re ready to proceed with the installation.

Installation Process

First Computer (Already has System Mechanic Ultimate Defense)

1. Open System Mechanic.
2. In the red menu bar, click the Key icon and select Product Information. This will show you your Activation Key.
3. Through email or chat, send this Activation Key to the additional device you will be installing System Mechanic on.

Second Computer

1. In a browser, navigate to http://smu.iolo.com 

2. After the file has finished downloading, run the SystemMechanicUltimateDefense_DM.exe file from your browser or your Downloads folder. 

3. The download manager will begin the download and installation process.

4. Click Yes on the User Account Control dialog box. 

5. Click Install in the System Mechanic install window. 

6. Enter your email address and click Begin activation. 

7. Enter your License Key and click Finish activation. 

8. Congratulations, you successfully installed System Mechanic.
