iolo Engineering Exec Reveals New Features in System Mechanic

Executive Director of iolo engineering reveals new features in upcoming System Mechanic release

Dear iolo friends,

You’ve got my attention.

I’ve been going through a lot of your feedback – both your praise and your issues – and I’ve taken strong steps to ensure System Mechanic development stays firmly on the same rails that produced so many of our breakthroughs in recent years. As a result, we’ve got some very interesting features coming your way.

Dennis Bottrell, Executive Director of iolo Engineering

It takes a good deal of coffee, coding, Jedi mind tricks and late hours to make a program powerful enough to be useful to the expert and also beginner-friendly. My job is to develop and pack more upgrades into a smaller footprint and still keep it simple.

The upcoming System Mechanic version release was challenging because we had to stretch our abilities in new directions and look at the computer environment in ways no one had before. Innovations are never easy because there’s no map to follow. It’s always, “Ha! We found the problem behind the problem…but no one before us had figured out how to fix it.” But where others see a wall, I see a good use for a sledge hammer. As a result, this new version can take your PC to a whole new level of performance.

Lately we’ve been particularly busy. All the feature upgrades mentioned below will be in the very next version upgrade releasing in just a few weeks.

Speed up YOUR Internet

iolo Labs discovered several ways to optimize your Internet with Windows 7, 8 and the upcoming 10. So NetBooster is back – enhanced. With “Net Neutrality” issues threatening to throttle Internet access, getting the most out of your connection becomes critical. NetBooster® can accurately tailor your Internet settings and additionally has been augmented to seek out the fastest DNS server currently available so you can exceed the speed of your provider’s default set up.

ActiveCare® — maintenance tuned to the way you work

Under certain circumstances, user activity may keep ActiveCare from kicking in. We’ve increased the speed in which ActiveCare engages when you step away from your machine so it has even more time to run all its automatic maintenance chores for a faster and more trouble free PC.

Real-time LiveBoost response you can practically reach out and touch

We’ve updated the interface to give you even more control and see results at a glance. And on top of that the LiveBoost engine is now fully incorporated into System Mechanic for unparalleled transparency and the power you need to make things happen faster.

Program Accelerator up to 2X faster

Program Accelerator increases the snap and pop of the programs you use most. We’ve just cut the time it takes to work in half.

iolo testing lab: Expanded

Our newly expanded lab has enabled us to uncover whole new fields of potentials as well as measure actual gains our tools can produce. Expect to see even more “Hey, I needed that!” features in the near future.

Tech/customer support: Upgraded

We’ve upgraded and reorganized our tech/customer support to be even more responsive to your needs. We want you to get your questions answered right away and not be passed around like a hot potato so common at other tech support services.

Pro tips you can really use — delivered right to your inbox

I want you to get the most out of your computer so iolo will be publishing a series of pro tips designed to be useful for both the beginner and expert alike.

My Team

I run a hard-core group of engineers who are passionate about finding better ways to increase your computer’s performance. We are also driven insane by the wasted resources, sloppy programming and poorly thought out designs we see in today’s rush-to-market computer environment.

We’re here to deliver a better computer experience to you. If there is a secret sauce to how we get things right so often, it is our close alliance with you, the user. You’ve been the spark behind all of our best innovations.

You folks are the best,

Signature
