System Mechanic 18 release

System Mechanic 18: Five Times Faster, Finds More Types of Bloatware Than Ever

PASADENA, CA—June 30, 2018—iolo technologies has launched the next Major Version Release of its best-selling PC optimization software System Mechanic®.

The enhanced software update frees up to 48% more RAM for resource-heavy multitasking, and now launches up to five times as fast while repairing problems and removing system junk up to twice as fast as the prior version.*

Whether you are operating System Mechanic as a standalone PC tune-up solution or deploying it from within the total performance, protection and privacy suite Phoenix 360™, it is easier than ever to automatically boost PC performance, repair problems, remove troublesome bloatware, unleash greater internet speed and more.

The new version has also enhanced its Super Tune-up Definitions™ database, identifying more problem programs to optimize startup and keep your PC fast and safe.

Super TUDs allow six degrees of categorization for maximum user control while optimizing your PC:

  • System – Windows® apps and services necessary for normal functioning
  • Necessary – Essential non-Windows apps
  • Unknown – Programs of undetermined import
  • User Choice – Your preferred printer drivers, Cloud-based backup services or media players
  • Unnecessary – Files typically running for quick access that can clutter and slow your system
  • Dangerous – Known security risks that should be turned off

System Mechanic 18 also includes the free version of ByePass™ automated password generator, which encrypts and stores a limited number of your most used passwords to avoid insecure in-browser storage vulnerable to hackers.

The free version of Privacy Guardian™ online personal data protection is also included. Privacy Guardian Free reveals thousands of covert ad-tracking efforts and attempts to profile you based on your searches, videos watched and websites visited.

As always, the seven-time winner of the PC Magazine Editors’ Choice Award, iolo’s flagship product System Mechanic is the only performance solution that first deploys a series of complex automated maintenance actions to help keep your PC stable and clutter-free.

System Mechanic then goes to work using proprietary technology to precision-tune dozens of internet, processor, memory and hard drive settings in real time for maximum system speed and performance.

System Mechanic automatically boosts speed, repairs problems, cleans out clutter, increases system stability, discovers bloatware and unleashes internet speed. Optimized for Windows 10, System Mechanic operates whenever your PC is idle, removing junk files, registry fragments and other unwanted clutter that confuses and slows down Windows.

A group of real-time features next scales back unimportant, processor-hogging apps, unlocks trapped RAM and idle processor cores for programs when they need it, and improves a whole cache of under-performing network settings for the smoothest streaming, gaming or browsing available with your broadband connection.

System Mechanic has been used by more than 45 million people to keep over 80 million computers in optimal condition since 1998. It has been ranked as the best-selling software in its category within the U.S., Canada, UK, France and Benelux countries by NPD and similar sources.

Unleash the full performance of your PC with System Mechanic 18, designed to maximally leverage the modern OS.
