System Requirements

Requirements are divided into two parts.

• Running the DriveScrubber DOS-based program to wipe a drive requires an Intel® compatible PC and the bootable disk to start the application.

• To install the DriveScrubber main application, create bootable disks, and wipe free space, your system needs the requirements listed below.

Requirements for the DriveScrubber Windows-based Program

Operating System. One of the following 32-bit or 64-bit Microsoft operating systems:

• Windows 7

• Windows Vista

• Windows XP

• Windows 2000

Hardware/Software

• 10 MB available hard drive space

• 128 MB RAM (256 MB or more is recommended)

• 400 MHz processor

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, with Service Pack 1 or later

• Internet connection

Requirements to wipe all data from a system drive

• A DriveScrubber bootable disk and either a CD drive or floppy drive to run it.

• If you want to create a bootable disk, you must have a blank floppy disk or CD (recordable or rewritable).
